Australia's cheapest electric van has landed — and it's here at Wynnum LDV
Order books are officially open for the all-new LDV eDeliver 5, and industry commentators are already calling it a genuine turning point for electric commercial vehicles in Australia.
CarExpert reports that with a launch price of $47,990 drive-away for ABN holders, the eDeliver 5 is currently the most affordable electric van available in Australia, undercutting rivals such as the Peugeot E-Expert and Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo by a wide margin. The launch pricing runs until 31 July 2026, with the brand yet to confirm what pricing looks like once the offer period ends.
LDV Australia General Manager Dinesh Chinnappa pointed to a broader shift driving the timing of the launch, noting that rising fuel costs and geopolitical pressures have pushed the brand to bring its electric van plans forward — with first customer deliveries now expected in July 2026, a year earlier than originally planned.
