The confidence to buy with safety in mind
Every rating on this page is sourced directly from ANCAP — Australia's independent vehicle safety assessment authority — with no manufacturer claims. We include honest notes on models where the rating has expired or does not apply to all build dates.
Standard equipment: dual frontal, side chest and head airbags, centre airbag, AEB (Car-to-Car, VRU, Junction, Crossing, Backover, Head-On), Lane Keep Assist, Emergency Lane Keeping, Speed Assistance System. Applies to all diesel variants from July 2025.
Rating applies to Mifa 9 EV and all 7-seat petrol MIFA variants. 8-seat petrol variants are unrated. Child restraints should not be fitted to third-row centre or right-hand side positions — no top-tether anchorages at those positions.
The previous-generation D90 achieved 5 stars under earlier ANCAP protocols. The updated model has not yet been assessed. We will update this page when a new rating is published.
The 2025 T60 MAX now includes AEB as standard across the full range, plus Lane Keep Assist and Adaptive Cruise on higher variants, and a 360-degree camera on MAX Plus — a significant improvement from earlier generations. Backed by LDV's 7-year/200,000km warranty and 5-year roadside assistance. We will update this page if ANCAP publishes a new result.
The LDV eT60 electric ute has not yet received an ANCAP safety rating in Australia. It is equipped with AEB, lane assist and standard safety features. We will update this page when a rating is published by ANCAP.
How commercial vans are rated by ANCAP
Vans are assessed differently to passenger vehicles. Instead of a 1–5 star crash test rating, ANCAP evaluates the active (collision avoidance) safety systems fitted to the van and awards a grading. This helps fleet buyers and businesses compare safety technology across competing models — and in many organisations, a minimum ANCAP van grading is required before a vehicle can be added to fleet.
The petrol/diesel Deliver 7 outperformed its electric counterpart in ANCAP's commercial van assessment due to more advanced ADAS functionality across AEB and lane support test scenarios. Ideal for businesses with fleet safety procurement requirements.
GOLD grading in ANCAP's Commercial Van Safety Comparison with overall good active safety performance. All assessed ADAS features are fitted as standard. The speed assistance system (SAS) was assessed as MARGINAL, and some AEB reversing scenarios were noted as an area for improvement.
MY24 onwards upgraded from a previous BRONZE grading to GOLD following the addition of a full active safety suite as standard. AEB capability is assessed as GOOD. The speed assistance system (SAS) was rated MARGINAL due to difficulty detecting some speed signs. Applies to MY24 and later — earlier builds hold the previous BRONZE grading.
The G10+ Van, eDeliver 5 and eDeliver 9 have not yet received an ANCAP commercial van grading. All models include active safety features such as AEB as standard. We will update this page when assessments are published by ANCAP.
